Tagachang Beach
Unlike stateside beaches, Guam beaches are known for being secluded and natural. You may spend the entire day at the beach and never see another person. Tagachang Beach is one of the best Guam beaches you’ll find for privacy that is also kid-friendly! This beach is located on the south side of the island, so you will need to rent a car or take a taxi to get there. Once you’re there, you can say hello to one of the most breathtaking views you’ll find! This sandy and shallow-water paradise is perfect for travelers who love to build sandcastles and those who don’t want to worry about their kids swimming out too deep.
This beach is nestled in the middle of a jungle-encased rock cliffside and is one of the Guam beaches that you’ll have to ask directions for. You won’t find many tourists at this beach, but it is safe to swim in as long as you stay within the reef. If you’re feeling adventurous, make sure to climb on the giant rocks you’ll find there! They make for stunning photos and a great place to enjoy the peace and quiet.

Alupang Beach
Looking to spend some time at a few Guam beaches closer to the hotel? Then you’re in luck! Alupang Beach is located right next to the Alupang Beach Tower Hotel. Only a few steps away from this hotel and more, you’ll find beautiful sand with lots of sunshine to enjoy! This beach is long and there are lots of spots for privacy. Since this beach is located on the east side of Guam, you’ll have the perfect spot to cuddle up and watch one of the most incredible sunsets you’ll ever see.
Alupang Beach is a very short driving distance to major shopping and restaurants as well, so you won’t have to worry about packing your own picnic!
Tanguisson Beach (Mushroom Rock)
One of the most popular Guam beaches to locals is Tanguisson Beach, otherwise known as Mushroom Rock. This beach is known for its pristine and raw island vibe. Only a few yards from the shore lie several giant rock formations. You can feel as if you’ve been transported to your own island as you swim up to see and take photos by the rocks. While this beach remains secluded, there are covered picnic tables and BBQ pits for you to enjoy while you stay.
Tanguisson beach is located in Dededo, Guam and is close to the popular tourist attraction, Two Lover’s Point. This is one of the few Guam beaches that we highly suggest taking as many photos of as possible! The view of the sunset between these rock formations is bound to be cemented in your mind forever, so why not take a million photos to remember it better!

Jimmy Dee’s Beach + Swing
One of the biggest perks of Guam beaches is that they are located everywhere! Jimmy Dee’s Beach is located within walking distance of the Jimmy Dee’s Paradise Beach Resort-Bar. You can relax while having a drink in paradise, and then simply walk a few feet to dip your toes in the water. Kick-off your flip-flops (or zories as they say in the Marianas), and relax while enjoying music, drinks, and a gorgeous sunset. Jimmy Dee’s Paradise Beach Resort-Bar is also family and pet friendly, so even your dog can enjoy this beach!
The best part of Jimmy Dee’s Beach is the swing located right in the middle of the water. Swinging in the ocean is a true travelers dream, and is totally possible at this stunning beach! Whether you want to spend a romantic night together or get the epic photo you need for Instagram, this swing is one that you don’t want to miss out on when you’re visiting Guam beaches.
Gun Beach
If you’re staying in Tamuning, Guam (which is known for being the tourist district), then Gun Beach is one that you absolutely must see. Gun Beach is perfect for snorkeling and seeing the abundance of sea life that lives within Guam’s waters. Not only is this beach walking distance from the majority of hotels in the area, but it is home to one of the best beach bars you’ll find on Guam. You’ll find yourself spending all day here and never run out of things to do. Although this is a popular beach, it is often less crowded than some of Guam’s other locations.
This beach is named after a WW2 Japanese gun that is mounted there, so if you love history, then this is one of the best Guam beaches for you! Gun Beach does have a special treasure to it as well. After walking the coast and enjoying the feeling of sand between your toes, make sure to follow the path around the WW2 Japanese gun and you’ll find a beautiful and quiet spot that not many people venture to.
