If you are traveling to the Philippines anytime soon, you must visit each of the country’s three SM Supermalls. The SM Megamall is spread out over a whopping 44 acres, and it has over 750 stores! SM Supermalls is the biggest developer of mega shopping centers, and owns over 60 malls in the Philippines and seven in China.

This mall has seen many renovations over the years. In 1928 it was ordered by Stalin to be turned into an office building. The Pitt Street Mall is actually a street full of stores, but the Westfield company owns the expensive strip known for its breathtaking malls. The Cevahir Istanbul mall cost $250-million to construct. This six-story mall boasts 34 fast-food chains in addition to its 14 exclusive dine-in restaurants. This is a famous shopping and entertainment center in the heart of Turkey. Located on the Büyükdere Avenue in the Şişli district, it was officially opened in October of 2005 and is owned by St Martins Property Group. If you ever get tired of shopping, see a movie at one of the 12 cinemas. This big international mall includes 343 shops, 50 restaurants, 12 cinemas, and other interesting entertainment centers such as a private theatre and a bowling alley.

New Century Global Center, China


The New Century Global Center is a gigantic mall located in Chengdu, China. It has become the best international mall for tourists in the mainland of China. It is designed to be a self-contained town. The massive mall includes an indoor beach area that is more than a kilometer long. The New Century mall is the largest mall and the largest building in the world! It is twice the size of both the previous mall record holder in Dubai Mall and Guangdong’s biggest mall called the New South China Mall. The super international park features a water park, IMAX theater, 2,000 hotel rooms, and is a whopping 16 million square feet (150 hectares).


The gigantic mall also has a giant screen that measures 150 by 40 meters, which provides indoor scenery, video, or important news. There is also an artificial “sun” that shines down on the complex 24 hours a day and controls the mall’s temperature!
